Book Review: Where We Promise

Image
In a tangled mess of betrayal and chaos, I was moved almost overnight onto rival territory under the protection of the one man I never wanted to be a burden to. Jameson King. In order to keep me safe, he handed me a ring and told me I’d become his wife. It’s a marriage made of convenience, but there’s a thread of truth neither of us want to examine. The past we’re ignoring, the almost we could have had if our lives were different. If I hadn’t chosen wrong. I keep trying to convince myself it doesn’t matter, not when we hold hands, or sleep in the same bed. Because Jameson has always held me at arms length, and my ex is coming for me…we’re just biding our time before this all comes to a messy end. This is where we promise to hold, to honor and cherish…but what are vows made from lies? Jameson will stay long enough to ensure I’m safe, and then he’ll let me go, just like he always did before. My Review With each new book in this series, I grown closer and closer to the Stone Riders and

Book Review: The Sinners

Ridgewood, California. What a waste of potential. I would have never guessed that this small city would become my solace, but here we are. Trying not to think of the love of your life every moment of every day is incredibly difficult. Such a fool I had been to think she was ever truly mine. Joining a motorcycle club hadn’t been something I’d ever thought I’d do, but when approached, I found it hard to say no. And if there is one thing I have learned from The Sinners, it is that blood doesn’t make you family, loyalty does. The Sinners a novella meant to bridge Sins of Sorrow with Marked By Cain (a standalone), and Sins of Bliss (book two of the With a Kiss Duet, releasing in June 2024). The Sinners cannot be read on its own but does not need to be read for the duet to fall into place. It is simply more content for the readers who want a deeper dive into our main character, Sly Lucchetti. Reader discretion is advised. The Sinners features mature themes and content that may not be suita

Book Review: The Wife Situation

The grumpy billionaire accuses me of stealing, has me fired, and now wants me as his temporary wife…I think he’s lost his mind. Easton Calloway needs a wifey pronto, and he chooses me to temporarily fill the position. While I want to tell him to eff off, I can’t walk away from the temptation. So I do what any broke actress living in New York City would do, and agree to the  terms and conditions. It should be easy: a year of marriage, a cushy penthouse, and a spending allowance. After 365 days, I’ll receive divorce papers and a check for millions. All I have to do is pretend we’re happily married without falling in love. Doable,  right? The Wife Situation is a billionaire, age gap (10 years), marriage of convenience romance with a happily ever after! It’s a stand-alone with open-door scenes. Included: a rich AF hero who’s a professional on the streets but a bad boy in the sheets who isn’t afraid to call his little heartbreaker my wife. My Review I love a book that can make me laugh an

Book Review: First Comes Forever

Friendship is strength. Love muddles everything. And a baby would definitely blur the lines. Amani is keeping secrets. On the surface, she’s envied as a successful influencer with millions of followers, but no one, not even her found family, knows the truth. She’s burnt out, fed up, and devastated over the news that her chances of ever having a baby are slim to none, and she’s running out of time. Adam’s only priority as a Hollywood agent is keeping his best friend, and client's career afloat. In fact, he works so much that he’s almost outrun his painful past when marriage and fatherhood were taken from him. If Adam has learned anything, love is untrustworthy, and he’ll never make that mistake again. The timing is wrong, and neither can handle a relationship right now, so obviously, there’s only one way to address the steamy tension between them: just one summer with absolutely no strings attached. But when Adam falls under Amani’s spell, he finds himself blurring the lines, and

Book Review: Flexible Standards

After her husband left her for his secretary, Isla needs a change of scenery. With her best friend inviting her to move to Las Vegas, and securing her a job as a librarian, there’s no time like the present to start fresh, beginning with her friend’s bachelorette party. While at the party, Isla retreats to a small casino bar, avoiding the festivities. Only, her night of solitude comes to an end when she meets Sam—an incredibly attractive and smooth-talking Brit who enjoys an evening of reading, more than a night on the town. Though they are otherwise an unlikely pair, Sam helps Isla regain the confidence she lost in her past relationship… one orgasm at a time. Flexible Standards is a deliciously spicy eroticom novella, intended for mature audiences. Just because it's cute and funny at times, doesn't mean you should forget to check your content warnings… My Review Another fast and spicy read form Irene. I can't get enough of her books. As soon as a new one comes out, I am i

Book Review: Hunt Me

I’m at a bar trying to poison a mark like the professional I am when I see him. Straight from Tartarus, they say the shadow dragon called Legion has slayed entire armies single-handedly, and the intense way he looks at me suggests every rumor I’ve heard about him is true. I should be terrified. Instead, I’m drawn like a moth to a flame. The moment he touches me, everything changes. Suddenly, my skin is the poison. One touch is enough to kill a man, which is exactly what I do before I realize what Legion has done to me. I vow to make him pay. The pull I feel toward him is a beacon—or a leash—but he’s not the easy mark I expected. To my utter horror, I go from hunter to captive. If I want to earn my freedom, I’ll have to give him the one thing he demands: me. Hunt Me is a spicy standalone romantasy set in the Immortal Vices and Virtues Universe. Every book is a guaranteed happily ever after with a satisfying ending and no cliffhangers. Perfect for fans of Immortals After Dark, Black Da
